Our Special Collection Wolf Super Blood Moon Drums
Our next Full Moon is approaching to adorn our skies on the 21st January, and it is a rather special one.
This moon will be a total lunar eclipse and a supermoon, as it moves towards it’s closest point to the Earth, right as the eclipse takes place.
Our distant ancestors called this moon the Wolf Moon, going back to a time when haunting howl of the wolf would travel through the frost laden valleys piercing the stillness of winter.
When we look at the inner qualities Wolf brings as an animal spirit guide it is around instinct, intelligence and an appetite for freedom.
Wolf is a symbol of wildness, and the energy these drums will hold is about stepping into your authentic self, reigniting your personal power and finding your inner wild twin.
The Time for Your Wildness has Come
When we awaken and press against the confines of our invisible walls and cage bars, we remember that we were born free. Our spiritual path leads us to being true, walking our talk, owning our own power and having control of our own destiny.
It also reminds us not to neglect that which nurtures us and to have a healthy degree of self-love.
By welcoming home our inner wild we can begin to tune our lives with what it means to be truly human again, to find that part of us that was thrown out of the window when we were born and to live a full, stylish and honourable life.
It is time to begin to prepare a room in our hearts that will welcome our own inner wild.
This work is so important.
Stepping Through the Bars
The Call of Your Drum
We have three Wolf Super Blood Moon drums to choose from, and each holds a different aspect of the energy we can draw on to help us step into our wildness. They will be made from Red Deer hide from Scotland and are 16 inches in diameter.
Our 16-inch drums are our most popular sized drums as they are easy to hold and have a lovely deep tone. We set a crystal into the handle in a design which is really comfortable to hold for those longer drumming sessions.
The drums shown in these images are for reference only as the Wolf Super Blood Moon Drums are yet to be made.

The Drum Birthing Process
We will birth your drum on the day of the full moon. We spend time preparing your hoop by sanding it down before painting the wolf motif in the hoop and finishing it with a layer of bees wax from rescued bees in Lancashire to bring out the beautiful grain in the wood.
The timber which makes the drum frame is sourced from Ash trees grown in the UK, and is made locally by a carpenter who lives in the next town along from our home.
Sourcing locally and as ethically as possible is something which is really important to us, and we take care to understand where all of our materials come from.
We will bind the hoop in suede, cut out the deer hide and then carefully craft your drum.
In the evening, once the Wolf Moon has risen in the sky we will take your drum outside and carry out a special awakening ceremony.
We will create a mandala and call in the four directions Earth, Air, Fire and Water, smudge your drum with mugwort and invoke the Spirit of the Drum.
Your drum will come with a drum beater.
