Our Training
We completed our three-year shamanic practitioner training in 2014 with Jayne Johnson of Shamanism Embodied in the Forest of Bowland. Prior to this Jason had spent several years as an apprentice to Robyn Fell.
Other teachers who we have sat at the feet at and continuously draw from their teachings include Dr Martin Shaw from the West Country School of Myth and his rite of passage year-long training The Wandering Court, Glennie Kindred and Annie Keeling and their year-long celebrancy training, and Angus Soutar's Permaculture Design Certificate from the Northern Permaculture Design School.
More recently we have both separately undertaken a wilderness vigil with the West Country School of Myth, spending four days and four nights alone in a wood in Dartmoor.
Nicola has also completed the yearlong Joanna Macy Work that Reconnects training led by Chris Johnson, and the Twelve Pillars of Atlantis training led by Stuart Pearce. She has a Diploma in Embodied Relational Therapy, a Diploma in Learning & Development and has completed a one-year Wild Therapy training programme.
We are Indie Shaman ethically certified practitioners, and our work has been published in Indie Shaman Magazine, GreenSpirit Magazine and the Earth Pathways Diary.
We hold appropriate insurances for our work and are under regular supervision.
