Step into the Mysteries

Go deeper into a spiritual path inspired by the traditions of our lands.

Watch the Replay

Join us, Nicola and Jason Smalley, and hundreds of others for an evening devoted to the strange, wonderful and unexplainable experiences that remind us just how mysterious it is to be alive.

We have never held an evening quite like this before.

And Jason is going to share something that he has hardly ever spoken about publicly…

An extraordinary encounter in the wilds of Glencoe that shook him to his core and his camera captured it all.

Come and Step into the Mysteries with us.

Do you have a story that you keep close?

Perhaps something has happened to you that you can’t explain.

A synchronicity that was more than just coincidence. An animal appearing at exactly the right moment. A dream that felt different. A place that keeps calling you back. A sign, a presence, a moment of déjà vu that stopped you in your tracks.

And perhaps you’ve hardly told anyone.
Because you know how easily these experiences can be explained away: just coincidence, imagination, nothing more.

Yet somewhere inside, you still think…

There was more to this. I just know.

If you’ve ever had an experience like that, you’ll be in very good company on this evening.

There is still so much we don't know.

We live in a world where almost any question can be answered in seconds.

Everything can be looked up, analysed and explained, while our days fill with news, AI, responsibilities and the rush of everyday life.

And because of this there seems to be less room for not knowing.

Yet the edges of what we understand are where some of life’s greatest mysteries live: consciousness, dreams, synchronicities, ancient places, nature, the Otherworld.

Our ancestors lived much closer to these mysteries, and they are there for us to reclaim back into our lives now.

All we need to do is make space for mystery and be open to it.

I feel at home learning about ancient wisdom and nature connection. I have a deep sense of knowing that this path is right for me.” Gill

"Thank you so much for an amazing experience which literally 'blew my mind'." Debbie

We have an incredible story to share with you?

A few years ago, Jason travelled to Glencoe to make a nature film.

While he was out in that extraordinary landscape, something happened.

He had an encounter with a Raven that shook him to his core. It is solid proof that mystery and enchantment are alive and intrinsically woven through our world.

He has spoken about what happened only a handful of times because it is so precious. It can only be shared with those people who ‘get it’, who are open to mystery.

Now we feel the time has come to share it publicly in one of our large online open house gatherings.

So, during Step Into the Mysteries, Jason will take you back to Glencoe and tell you what happened.

And he will share what his camera captured.

Prepare to be awe-stuck. It is likely you will never see the world in quite the same way again.

What happens when you make room for mystery?

You know that feeling when something stops you in your tracks.

For a time, the everyday falls away and you remember that you are part of something much bigger, stranger and more beautiful than you can explain.

That feeling is awe.

There is a certain magic in leaving these experiences open.

To wonder. To stay curious. To ask:

“What on earth was that?”

This is why mystery matters. It lifts us out of the everyday, gives us perspective on our own lives, and helps the things we are carrying feel a little less consuming.

"Wonderful, wonderful evening!

Thank you!"

Angela

"This has really made sense of something that happened a few days ago and gives me hope for the future. Thank you."

Take your place around the fire

Set aside your everyday world aside for an hour and immerse yourself in mystery.

There will be hundreds of other people who are intrigued by these same questions, as we come together and step towards the edges of what we know.

We’ll share stories.

We’ll explore some of those strange experiences that don’t fit neatly inside our everyday understanding of the world.

Jason will tell the story of what happened to him in Glencoe.

And we’ll create some space for awe, wonder and whatever else might emerge when we step into the mysteries together.

Yes! I want to step into the mysteries.

Free to join, with a replay available if you can't make the evening.

We dislike spam as much as you do and will never sell your email address.

Plus: A little something for joining us live

Join us live and receive 5 Doorways into Mystery, our bonus guide to five ways you might notice mystery in your everyday life.

We’ve created this especially for this gathering, as a little something to keep the wonder going after our evening together.

And we have another surprise we’re working on to give you on the night as well…

We are Nicola and Jason

We help people who’ve always felt a little different reconnect with three things our ancestors knew mattered: nature, community and a sense of the sacred, all rooted in the old ways of this land.

We know what it is like to spend years searching for a spiritual path that feels right. Eventually, our own search led us towards the changing seasons, the land beneath our feet and a way of experiencing the world that leaves room for mystery.

Today, through The Way of the Buzzard and our Mystery School, thousands of people explore these old threads alongside us, developing their own connection with nature, the Otherworld and the mysteries.

Step into the Mysteries is our invitation to come and explore some of this with us.

Jason's film! It was mind-blowing.

And your talk showed me a lot I need to adjust.

Wow! Tonight has been so different and powerful.

A reminder to focus on what brings me happiness.
