“Look deep into nature, and then you will understand everthing better.” Albert Einstein
The Spring Equinox is a point of balance, where the sun rises and sets exactly twelve hours apart. Nature activity ramps up rapidly from this point onwards through to the Summer Solstice.
The Spring Equinox is the perfect time to create space and begin to give energy to your vision for the coming months.
Spring is already well underway, with the daffodils proudly trumpeting their arrival and the first chicks having already hatched into the world.
Buds are swelling, grass is growing, and the birds are busy nest-building with beaks full of twigs, mud and moss. The dawn chorus is getting louder as the songbirds call out to the rising sun. And we begin to feel the sun's heat on our skin days lengthen and become a little warmer.
It is time to start creating. Throw yourself into your carefully nurtured plans. What do you want to hatch this spring?
You have three months until the height of summer and another three months until harvest is complete: six glorious months of longer days and creative energy to draw on. It’s time to tip the balance and move from planning to action.
Begin to sow those seeds and seize the day, making the most of the growing hours of warmth and light
Our day-long spring online retreat
Purchase the replay and work with this next turn in the wheel of the year in your own time, at your own pace.
It will be a gentle day, helping you immerse in the energies of the Spring Equinox, creating space to focus on the coming months as you awaken into action.
There is an immersive, meditative video encapsulating the energy of this special time of year as spring begins to ramp up. We lead guided activities to help you look ahead to the coming months and bring ideas from the imaginal into reality. You tune in to the deep wisdom held both within you and in nature.
Specifically, you will work with the songbirds, giving voice to your dreams and desires. You will draw on the spring energies of preparation and emergence, overcoming any resistance that might be holding you back and finding your motivation for the months ahead.
There is shamanic journeying, creativity time, reflective time and nature time, and a ceremony to set your intentions going forward.
You will have access to the recordings of all the sessions and you'll also have ongoing access to all the resources alongside this event, including the nature connection videos and the printable workbook, so you can revisit the content whenever you like.
Many of you might have attended our online or in-person events before. When we gather, even for just a few hours, remarkable things can happen. We create space for the messages to come through and an opportunity to draw on the range of spiritual tools available through the shamanic and nature connection toolkit.
This daylong experience will allow you to deepen into exploring the tools we use on our spiritual path. During the day, we work with three of the four foundation topics we teach in our Mystery School: shamanic journeying, animal spirit medicine and aligning with the natural cycles, and some of the mini-course topics: ceremony and deep nature connection.

Why learn from us?
Between us, Jason and Nicola, we have trodden this path for many decades, finding our way forward to a new way of being in the world.
We have learned how to hear the quiet voices within us and from the Otherworlds, guiding us along the way, and from this we have moved from being in stagnant and unfulfilling work to fully embracing our creativity and discovering the true depths of ourselves and the joy that this can bring us.
Because of this we are excited and passionate about working with others who desire to come back to the earth and carve a new path for both themselves and the wider community.
We are delighted to be able to bring you this special experience as we immerse in the early spring energies, drawing on the age-old practices of Shamanism and nature connection to seek our spiritual guidance.
What others say
Here are some reflections from participants who have attended our online retreats in the past:
I am now able to be more present in my life
“Finding the right space for self-care and reflection is not always easy. Before the retreat, I was feeling scattered and unable to focus, tired and disconnected. Afterwards I felt so calm and grounded. I noticed that I was less bothered by time and more able to just be present in my life.
I felt very contented. I am already making more time for nature. When I am out and about, I really notice trees and animals and then feel I want to look up their meaning. I am more in tune with my inner world and look more for the messages that are there for me through the things I encounter."
Gill
I felt held and support and part of a tribe
“At first, I wasn’t sure about coming along to an online retreat. It seemed a long day, and I thought I might get restless and tire from looking at a computer screen all day. But I felt the retreat topic was something I needed and I wanted a collective experience, to be with others. It didn’t disappoint on either count.
I felt very cosy and calm. I lay on the settee for a while afterwards, with candles lit in my lounge, feeling peaceful and rewarded. There'd had been such a sense of connection - I felt held and supported and part of a tribe.”
Ali
The weekend was magical
"Your online event looked interesting, and I liked the idea of a shamanic approach based on our own traditions, myth and landscape and not one that has been imported from another culture.
I was excited to come along and, at the same time, a little nervous as generally I am used to "going" to events rather than online, and so I was unsure what it would be like.
The weekend was magical, and the space was held well with kindness and care. Despite it being online, it worked and had depth. I am very moved and grateful to have been a part of it."

What the day involves?
This day-long event is rich with content from the shamanic and nature connection toolkit, and is an opportunity to work with the transition to a time of action as spring unfolds.
Activities include shamanic journeying, nature connection time, ceremony and working with the elements.
This isn’t a workshop tied to the screen. There are guided activities to carry out throughout the day, including an extended time out in nature, even if that is your balcony or back yard or garden. And there are nature connection films to transport you into a very different space, bringing the wild into your home.
Here's an outline of our day together
- We started at 9.30am and finished around 5pm (UK time).
- To settle into the day, we began with a grounding meditation and created sacred space by welcoming in the elements.
- We gained inspiration from the songbirds to start our day by submersing in the sounds of the dawn chorus through a nature connection film.
- Then, we flexed our creativity through a simple morning practice of reading poetry and allowing our collective words to flow through some creative writing and sharing.
- During the morning session, we focused on procrastination, recognising that this is something that proceeds action. You choose a songbird to work with for the rest of the day, or rather a songbird chooses you! There is an activity to work on during the break, and then a guided shamanic journey to seek guidance from your songbird.
- During the extended lunch break, there is a nature-based activity running to mid-afternoon. This takes the form of a medicine walk, which is a time-old shamanic practice of seeking insights from nature.
- When we come back together for the final part of the day, we focus on action planning. There's a second nature connection video encapsulating the energy of springtime emerging. We use chanting to help awaken our minds and bodies, and then the focus is on identifying the steps you need to take between now and the Summer Solstice and beyond to bring your idea into reality.
- To round off the day, we hold an intention-setting ceremony.

Move from procrastination to action and make firm plans for the coming months, bringing your dreams into reality.
Yes, it will mean investing a little of your time and money and take yourself away from your everyday responsibilities. It may even feel overindulgent and raise a conflict inside you about whether you can justify giving yourself this space and investment.
If you find yourself debating in your mind whether it is right, then try dropping into your body and seeing how it feels. If the idea of coming along feels good, follow that impulse. Our gut feeling rarely lets us down.

A Homecoming
Something happens deep within us when we are in nature. When we still ourselves amongst beauty, we can hear ourselves more clearly. We come home. During this day, we will drop together into nature time and demonstrate it is possible to do this without even leaving home.
Seeking answers from the Otherworlds
The ancient techniques of shamanic journeying and deep nature connection have been used by humanity for tens of thousands of years. They are incredible and easy ways to access deep universal wisdom. Why leave it to your limited conscious mind to come up with all the answers!
Embracing Shamanic Tools
Working with shamanic journeying and deep nature connection, we will access life-changing tools that our ancestors used for guidance and healing.
Being in Community
Share soulful time with like-minded travellers who, like you, are seeking ways to become more expansive in a different world.
Setting Intentions
Without a clear intention, we don't know where we are heading. So, by deciding this and putting it out to the universe in a ceremony at the end of the day, we give ourselves the best chance of achieving our goals.
