A Power Retrieval to awaken your wild twin...
As the frost-laden valleys echo with the timeless call of the Wolf, we invite you to step into a space of self-discovery, power, and connection. Our journey circle will be a moment to reconnect with the wild within us all.
We will focus on awakening our Wild Twin, the untamed and authentic part of us that may have been left behind.
With Wolf as your spirit guide, you will be led on a guided shamanic Power Retrieval journey to retrieve some of your power. This evening is a chance to reclaim the parts of yourself that have been lost and step onto your path of rewilding.
What you'll experience during this special circle:
- Explore what it truly means to be wild and how we’ve lost touch with this vital part of ourselves
- A guided discussion on Wolf energy, embodying instinct, intelligence, freedom, and community
- A shamanic Power Retrieval journey to reclaim your lost power and awaken your wolf-self.
The timings are:
04:03 - Introduction and setting the scene. 21:30 - Opening the space. 22:42 - Wildness & power retrieval talk. 1:05:02 - Overview of journeying and the power retrieval journey. 1:15:45 - Guided journey to retrieve your power. 1:39:19- Sharing and close.

19:28:01 From Ian : 👍
19:28:14 From Christina SingingBird To All Panelists : Connected to our intuition - our spirit - being willing to live by this
19:28:27 From Julie : we are trained at school to be compliant worker ants.
19:29:41 From Tina Burchill To Christina SingingBird and All Panelists : Hello Christina, If you want everyone to see your message, you need to click on everyone in the ‘to’ box. If you don’t, only myself, Jason and Nicola will see it.
19:30:07 From Samantha Shulver : Explore our roots and grow from within
19:30:29 From Jo Harthan : Julie - I had a wonderful dream after last week = ants being given rice crackers and scurrying into a bag and dying!!
19:30:39 From Julie : For the new people, Jason makes amazing nature films and you're in for a treat.
19:30:52 From Jo Harthan : A great pun on 'we're crackers' LOL
19:31:05 From Ann’s iPhone To All Panelists : It's intense! I would love a slug film!
19:31:07 From Julie : Jo, wow! we are fed empty foods.
19:31:11 From Tina Burchill : Here is the link: https://thewayofthebuzzard.co.uk/ratrace-movie/
19:31:26 From Julie : The rat makes me sad, I'm so sorry for him!
19:36:27 From gemma king : re: Rats I think as part of rewilding, we should stop using the phrase them and us, bad and good, we are all nature and we all belong even rats have an important role . They have actually don't experiments on the role of society using rats, starting small and growing, and it was interesting, because the result is a chaos, and competition
19:36:46 From Samantha Shulver : I saw a rat today scurrying away from a homeless persons tent with bread in his mouth that he had stolen from the stash left outside the tent. Felt sad for both of them.
19:36:55 From Julie : Yes! That's the bit I identify with most, the money trap.
19:36:58 From Freyalyn Close-Hainsworth : I actually can't bear to watch that, not the rattiness, but the whole claustrophia and horrific urbaness of it all.
19:37:02 From iPad To All Panelists : Rat race
19:37:04 From Dean : For me, it was the happiness medication. As someone going through hard times myself it's insightful to realise that it's my surroundings that's the problem.
19:37:11 From Tracey : spot on the curupt society ,booze all .seen similar befor ....its truth
19:37:14 From Ian : Congestion, Consumerism, manipulation, indoctrination, societal norms and expectations are the keywords, that came to mind.
19:37:15 From Samantha Shulver : The bit in the car when he is in the traffic jam for me tonight
19:37:18 From Julie : Yes it is hard to watch.
19:37:21 From Vivien Lee To All Panelists : Totally scaring
19:37:26 From Susie Fox : This is EVERYTHING I choose to avoid. It is the opposite of everything that I desire.
19:37:28 From Claire To All Panelists : Chasing the money
19:37:47 From iPad To All Panelists : It’s how life is now
19:37:49 From Gill Bradley (Her/Hers/She) : It was the "advertising" of this product will bring you joy!!
19:37:50 From Kitty : as a country girl, that looked like a cartoon version of hell to me. I'm not materialistic but i know some people can only find their version of happiness that way. That makes me hurt for them.
19:38:01 From Rick iPad To All Panelists : All want want want. By adverts
19:38:02 From sheila hannabuss : Very sad and reminds me of living in London with all the mayhem!
19:38:22 From Joyce : Difficult to escape from
19:38:23 From lesley gerrard : The beginning when the rats running along donned shirts and ties, particularly the ties - thinking strangulation of freedom.
19:38:23 From Marlene To All Panelists : It shows that none of those happiness cures brings what they promise
19:38:33 From Sara Broomhall : Rat race running into the rat trap!
19:38:50 From Rick iPad To All Panelists : Want want want driven by adverts
19:38:56 From Rhona Graham : Seen this before and had forgotten about it...timely reminder Hard to be different for some people
19:39:29 From Julie : In the start of Dreaming Money he says how we desire Things, which causes distance from people.
19:39:37 From Ian : like outside of ourselves for something that comes from within
19:39:56 From iPad To All Panelists : The things that you think will make you happy doesn’t
19:40:20 From Samantha Shulver : Yes for me too, I was made redundant 2years ago, set up my own business much happier and freer but still trying to break habits the chains that held me for 20years!! Hence the traffic jam, sometimes I still feel stuck!
19:40:25 From Julie : unsubscribe from the BS
19:40:36 From Ann’s iPhone To All Panelists : Seeing this is like the ultimate disillusionment...
19:40:51 From lesley gerrard : Work, flaming work!
19:40:51 From Ian : not living authentically
19:41:04 From Julie : I feel my emotions dulled because I'm not connected to a less meaningful life.
19:41:05 From Ann’s iPhone To All Panelists : fear of being seen as my authentic self
19:41:08 From Karen W : Feeling trapped
19:41:12 From Gill Bradley (Her/Hers/She) : Loosing my power
19:41:17 From Clare Russell : expectations of conforming to societal 'norms'
19:41:22 From Sara Shuker To All Panelists : Too much time inside working….
19:41:31 From Rick iPad To All Panelists : Over regulation and rules
19:41:37 From Dean : As someone who has a wolf spirit guide that I'm trying to get closer to, it just makes me feel dull and drone-like. Wake up, go to work, go home, sleep, repeat. It makes me feel less alive.
19:41:38 From Kitty : social media influencing everyone to think having 'stuff' is the answer to problems.
19:41:52 From Marcus To All Panelists : allowing us all SPACE
19:41:53 From Claire To All Panelists : Sadness.
19:42:01 From Paul Stillwell : social media made me want approval and praise from others, since I gave up social media I feel more whole and my true wild self
19:42:02 From Kay Case : conforming
19:42:02 From bethf : We don't realise how subtlety we are programmed and conditioned.......and we accept these as normal, so sad how this affects so many people in different ways, it really has power behind it xx
19:42:06 From Tina Burchill To Sara Shuker and All Panelists : Hello Sara, If you want everyone to see your message, you need to click on everyone in the ‘to’ box. If you don’t, only myself, Jason and Nicola will see it.
19:42:12 From Rhona Graham : More and more reliance on technology and AI
19:42:17 From Sara Broomhall : Being stuck in a body which doesn't always let me do what I want to do (disabled with MS)
19:42:17 From Ann’s iPhone To All Panelists : Consequences for being authentic!
19:42:18 From Angela Birchall To All Panelists : Putting everyone else’s needs above mine
19:42:21 From deb : Confirming to others expectations and ideology of who I should be
19:42:25 From Tina Burchill To Claire and All Panelists : Hello Claire, If you want everyone to see your message, you need to click on everyone in the ‘to’ box. If you don’t, only myself, Jason and Nicola will see it.
19:42:32 From Claire To All Panelists : Loss of power
19:42:40 From Tina Burchill To Angela Birchall and All Panelists : Hello Angela, If you want everyone to see your message, you need to click on everyone in the ‘to’ box. If you don’t, only myself, Jason and Nicola will see it.
19:42:51 From iPad To All Panelists : I’m glad I’m off the hamster wheel
19:43:03 From Liz Wright : my loss of wildness is found here: The presence of channels precut in grooves where I am supposed to follow eg my education training back in my youth. Little chance to ask questions let alone answer them. Not having opportunities to explore my authenticity.
19:43:13 From Marlene To All Panelists : We are conditioned from birth and live out of that conditioning. Awareness is needed to make new choices
19:43:20 From Susie Fox : The Law of the Land stops me being wild. I am not allowed to wild camp in England. I cannot get to areas I want to be in. I cannot be alone hardly ever. Other people’s expectations, mocking, telling me everything I hold deer is “bollocks” and therefore unworthy. But they have nothing! Food that is NOT-food. And tonight, NOW Trump in America ditching Environmental issues and overriding all these concerns - money, making money is the only issue. What hope have we?
19:43:46 From Jo Harthan : for me it is age. i'm still fit and healty but not as fit and healthy as I used to be. I've been living authentically since I left the rat race 14 years ago but I want to do more
19:43:48 From Sara Broomhall : Freedom!
19:43:54 From Ian : have more freedom to live life on own terma
19:43:55 From Marcus : allowed
19:44:33 From Julie : I imagine it would be less hurried, and being in touch with what I really want to do in that moment. Feeling joy over small glimmers.
19:44:37 From Clare Russell : free, connected to nature and living from the land, truly working as intended in Harmony with the Earth's cycles
19:44:55 From Ann : Confidence in who I am. I have two friends who are trying to control me, for eg booking a holiday without any discussion about if I am interested. I have found the power retrievals so useful as I have been able to set boundaries and refused to accept any involvement in the discussions about the blowback as I was not consulted.
19:45:04 From Emily Summers To All Panelists : Pls can you give us your 2 or 3 questions again pls? I’d like to write them down and journal on them
19:45:06 From iPad To All Panelists : Small community of likeminded people living anywhere you choose
19:45:06 From Vivien Lee To All Panelists : My wild life would look like my ancestor guides life xx
19:45:07 From Claire : Peaceful, true, sincere, joyful, spontaneous, love
19:45:44 From Susie Fox : Freedom to do what I want. Eat wholesome food. I am SO LUCKY to be retired (because my husband pays for this, not because I have a pension yet). Trying to get wholesome food that is FOOD is so difficult. I grow my own as much as possible; always cook for myself. I can’t cope with TV programmes, radio, other people’s choice of music. It seems so banal. Am I “set in my ways” and “cussed awkward” or actually trying to be free of restraints?
19:45:54 From Kitty : i live within society and within the law, but my soul belongs to the earth and nature so I prioritise that over worrying about things like career progression, having things, using electronics...time with my family and my people and my animals is my life, if I'm materialistically poor, I'm poor - rich in other ways :)
19:45:57 From Liz Wright : To walk one's own true path. Unique but not necessarily unique. Authentic.
19:46:08 From Marcus : LOVE ❤️
19:46:13 From Jo Harthan : tobe completely without stress to wild camp in my campervan. I haven't plucked up courage yet to go to a completely wild place on my own. not like me - it's def an age thing
19:46:29 From Rick iPad To All Panelists : Keep healthy. Eat good organic food. Exercise. Find new like minded friends. Don’t be held back with folks you don’t resonate with anymore
19:46:29 From Ann’s iPhone To All Panelists : divine timing and bravery 💗
19:46:31 From Joyce : You lose yourself in the work world….
19:46:38 From iPad To All Panelists : I’ve just joined a group of volunteers litter picking and it’s scary what we are doing to our countryside
19:47:13 From Ann : Freedom to be me, choose spirituality, my partner, live my life as I wish as long as I am not harming others.
19:47:13 From Julie : I'll grow veg again when I retire.
19:47:22 From ✨Rachael✨ : Wild for me has been reframing the stories associated with work. Now I flow with life which feels freeing
19:47:31 From Joyce : Breaking free from that world of work was the best thing I did. I love waking up every morning and doing what I want. I am so lucky.
19:48:03 From Dean : Not 100% the same but I'm lucky enough to have a national park on my doorstep, I sometimes hop on the bus and just go travelling up there. it makes me feel better. Weirdly just even going somewhere with no data signal just helps me mentally disconnect from the world.
19:48:22 From Marlene To All Panelists : Doing what I want to do when I want to do it, having choices is freedom.
19:48:26 From Carolyn Hicks : I’ve been working very hard for a number of years to gain freedom from so many things and I’ve achieved it. I feel really free
19:48:48 From Julie : Oh, how good that you have set that boundary!
19:49:02 From lesley gerrard : Wouldn't it be wonderful if, from a young age, we were supported and encouraged to do what we are naturally good at.
19:49:12 From Tina Burchill : What impact do you see in your life as loss of wildness
19:49:15 From Lára To All Panelists : To live cyclically, seasonally to be able to rest & relax when I’m tired, stressed.
19:49:19 From Tina Burchill : what would your wild life look like
19:49:39 From Tina Burchill To Lára and All Panelists : Hello Lara, If you want everyone to see your message, you need to click on everyone in the ‘to’ box. If you don’t, only myself, Jason and Nicola will see it.
19:49:44 From Julie : All my interactons would be meaningful and I can ignore berks.
19:50:06 From Angela Birchall To All Panelists : I lost my almost perfect wild place because I had to do what someone else wanted me to do and now I really feel lost when I think about it so I try to put it out of my mind but it keeps popping up again at times like tonight.
19:50:54 From Lára : To be more embodied. To live cyclically, seasonally. To rest when I’m tired & effectively relax when stressed
19:51:03 From Vivien Lee To All Panelists : This is such a great lit community
19:51:37 From Jo Harthan : my wild life would be to let go of possessions - declutter more than I do
19:52:05 From Ian : sugar
19:52:07 From Kitty : decluttering is sooooo therapeautic!
19:52:12 From Julie : phone games, shopping..
19:52:16 From DJ Moto : Peace and the strength to explore the wildness on my motorcycle with a tent and re-calibrate my should and find myself again
19:52:59 From Angela Birchall : Sugar, phone games and social media
19:53:05 From Joyce : Yes, to declutterring, and realising that a ‘lot of stuff’ isn’t necessary. Living lighter.
19:53:12 From Paul Stillwell : since I gave up social media, my mind and energies are balanced and I feel more self empowered and more self love
19:58:07 From Julie : I think this is our Buzzard theme tune!
19:58:24 From Tina Burchill : Here is the link https://thewayofthebuzzard.co.uk/power-journey-page/
19:58:25 From Julie : YESSSSS!!!
19:59:10 From Christina SingingBird To All Panelists : Would love to have seen the film of the Yellowstone wolves…as part of our journey
20:01:37 From Christina SingingBird To All Panelists : Beautiful dance - shows we can be connected to the wild wherever we are
20:02:49 From Julie : Wooohooo!
20:02:50 From Samantha Shulver : Really love that
20:02:56 From Clare Russell : Powerful
20:02:57 From Lynn Alexander : blimey!!!!!!
20:02:57 From Samantha Shulver : Really love that
20:02:59 From Joyce : WOW!
20:03:00 From Tracey : lurve lurve powerful yes indeed
20:03:12 From Lynn Alexander : fabulous!!!!
20:03:14 From sheila hannabuss : Wow, so powerful, love it!
20:03:28 From Kitty : *claps madly at home*
20:03:31 From Claire To All Panelists : Didn’t want it to end
20:08:04 From Susie Fox : Given half a chance the Government will tax drum beats!
20:12:25 From Tina Burchill : Q. Help me retrieve my power
20:19:33 From Dragonborne : Sorry to be late x
20:40:28 From gemma king : what happens please, if you don't journey back from a journey please?
20:40:36 From Jo Harthan : been shamanic journeying for years but never had an experience like that. Freaked me out a bit. Wolf brought my brother and his dog - a German shepherd. My bro commited suicide in 1990, a few weeks after his dog had died. What freaked me out was that I felt a strong presence in the room. I don't feel un-nerved easily but that did it.
20:40:52 From Kitty : That was one of the best journeys I've had in ages. I got a lit torch and an armadillo climbed onto my back and turned into a tattoo
20:42:01 From gemma king : ok thank you, I just wondered
20:42:11 From Jane Donaldson-Allen : Thank you Nicola and Jason, wolf brought me a red rag and a flash of bright light. Thank you wolf, my friend.
20:42:33 From Carol : Oh Jo sorry to hear about your brother.
20:42:42 From gemma king : I did journey back, I just heard a sound and then stayed, but wondered
20:42:47 From Ian : Wolf brought a necklace back. It had a wooden plate with symbols on it. Also received a blanket.
20:42:50 From Marlene To All Panelists : My power is my inner child in the form of a beautiful dragon fly which was gently placed into my heart. Ahh feeling quite emotional.
20:42:59 From fran : I was given a necklace and I really felt something being integrated and so grateful to wolf. felt very playful and lighthearted then
20:43:25 From Dean : That was an experience. I had flashes of my spirit guide there trying to get my power back, but it felt like there was something trying to pull me back. Wolf was there trying to keep me there, it felt like it was struggling almost. I do feel a little different however. I don't exactly recall what was given to me, it looked like a white pebble of some kind, but then a book.
20:43:32 From Claire : I became the wolf at first then I sent the wolf away. It came back with a white sheet then again with a dagger. I've had a headache and tension all day and now it has gone x
20:43:32 From fran : There was also a really powerful wind that felt exhilerating
20:43:33 From Claire : Wolf brought me furs and a fang tooth. An eagle joined us high in the sky. I felt and heard water and heat. Very grateful
20:43:42 From Joyce : That was my first journey. Violet liquid flowing over me that changed in density and was very calming. Thank you wolf.
20:43:45 From Carol : My son committed suicide in 2016 and his german shepherd died shortly before him
20:43:59 From Ann : Wolf gave me a football then their cubs played with it and me.
20:44:04 From Freyalyn Close-Hainsworth : My wolf is Lunil, my old dog who was distantly of wolf ancestry. She met me in the meadow, and Stag came to visit us both. We all ran up White Horse Hill together and panted at the top, looking over the ancient forest surrounding the hill.
20:45:12 From deb : I was brought a colouring book and pencils - which was a reinforcement of recent inner child work which reminded me I loved to sit and colour
20:46:51 From Sara Broomhall : Wolf came back really quickly with, of all things, a drum! He went away again for a little while before returning and just keeping me company until the recall. Made me realise part of my power comes from my voice and from singing to the l;and
20:48:20 From lesley gerrard : I get that too Jo. I often feel a presence standing close to me while journeying, sometimes a few. I can pinpoint the moment they walk up to me. I'm convinced if I were to open my eyes, I'd see them. I've got used to it and it feels okay. I perceive it as a supportive, healing presence. They
20:48:33 From Samantha Shulver : I felt water around but it wasn't very clear vision, it was quite dark in colours, nightime? but my wolf came back to me twice in the journey, the first time he bought a torch and I saw his lovely face, felt an older wolf, a mix of those 3 I had last week, then he turned around and gestured to climb on his back and off we went. Again dark, night, not clear but I had the feeling of I was stuck and he was breaking me free, showing you just need to trust. The second time wolf bought me like a green mist or northern lights came into my mind which came over and around me. And there I was thinking nothing happened lol! It was energetic and caring and felt like the start of something. Thank you
