Ancestral connections for healing

The Celtic fire festival Samhain marks the transition from summer to winter. As we drop into the long nights, this special festival is traditionally the time to connect with our ancestors. Following the old ways of our land, we are going to spend this evening with our ancestors.

Ancestral connection is an important aspect of our spiritual path. The people who have trodden the Earth before us have more impact on our lives than you might think. Science has now proven that along with our physical traits, we also inherit behaviours from our ancestors in our DNA.

So, we can inherit both the gifts that help us stride through life and the unresolved trauma they might have experienced in their lives. Inheriting ancestral trauma can lead to unhelpful patterns in us that we often can’t get to the bottom of, no matter how much focus and healing we direct at them.

Many of us live with this inherited trauma from our ancestors, holding us back. During our evening together, we will begin the process of initiating healing within our ancestral lineage, seeking to address unresolved issues that have been passed down through generations.
