Fourteen years ago today, Jason and I met each other for the first time.
We were at the start of a year-long shamanic medicine wheel, based in this yurt in the beautiful valley of Roeburndale in Lancashire.
So, today is a special day, and we are celebrating 🙂
This morning, one of our main spirit guides called us to him. He showed me many scenes of us working together over the past 14 years. It reminded me of everything that is possible because I don’t work in a mainstream job.
I was already on my way out of ‘a proper job’ when I met Jason and stepped on the shamanic path. That journey ramped up, and within 4 years, I had closed the door on a stressful career I had thought was right and what I was supposed to be doing, even though it made me really unhappy.

Today, Monday 16th March, is also a special day in the story of Interstellar 3I/ATLAS, for those of you following its journey. And if you aren't aware of 3I/ATLAS, I have a link at the bottom of this blog for you.
3I/ATLAS is at its closest approach to the planet Jupiter today. Then, tomorrow onwards, it will be on its way to goodness knows where, leaving our solar system forever.
Over the next couple of months, the Earth will be passing through whatever it left behind when it emitted huge jets of ‘something’ while passing the sun back in October.
I believe that whatever 3I ATLAS left for us to pass through, it will help humanity go to the next level, whatever that is - that things are going to become easier.
We can’t comprehend what this will look like, as it will be totally different, and this is a good thing.
I know this will sound fruit-loop to some people (it probably would have had me a few years ago), but with the arrival of our Interstellar Nomad friend, I felt hope for the first time in my life. Hope that humanity does have a future here on this planet. A crazy, wild, unbridled kind of hope I just didn’t think it was possible for me to feel.
The new story
Here at the Way of the Buzzard and within our Mystery School, we have been working this winter with the idea of being inside a chrysalis, with the old story falling away and the new one emerging.
Now we are moving toward the Spring Equinox this Friday, and it’s a new moon on Thursday.
This is a time of fresh starts, new stories and action. It is time to move beyond procrastination and into creating the lives that we truly want, whatever they look like.
This was our focus at our At Home Retreat on Saturday, Spring into Life. 120 of us came together to work with the emerging energies of spring and set out our plans for this coming year.
These two photos are of our most recent walk in the Yorkshire Dales as we climbed Great Shunner Fell. It was a glorious day, and the break in the clouds felt symbolic.
An illumination.
Hope.
And I don't say this lightly, knowing what a topsy-turvy world we are living in, where the craziness seems to ramp up week by week, along with the feeling of disempowerment to do anything about it.

I love that photo of the light breaking through the clouds – what a beautiful sign! The message I have been receiving is that we cannot yet imagine how the future is going to be. In the 1700’s, they had no concept of film and television or music coming from a turntable. The far future is unimaginable in the same way. BUT, what we do now is paving the way for our descendants. We will become the wisdom in old bones. So even though sometimes it doesn’t feel like we can do anything and that we’re helpless to steer the course of things, we are seeding future wisdom with every action we take, every insight we discover, every communion with the land. And of course every time we open our hearts to love – just as you two did to each other. I love your love story 🙂

Nicola, the passion and love you have through your way of life now, and the relationship you have with Jason, always has me smile. You both hold and illuminate such sincerity and beauty. May your celebrations be pure joy!
