We live in prophetic times. And, I don’t say that lightly.

I have been waiting for ‘the thing’, ‘that moment’, ‘the time’ for much of my life.

I thought 2012 would be it. Something definitely shifted then, but it was subtle.

Now feels very different.

Way back, twenty years ago when I was tentatively stepping onto my spiritual path, I attended a talk. The presenter spoke in an urgent voice about what lay ahead in the future. It was along these lines: ‘Something massive is coming. If you aren’t ready for it, it is going to cause a lot of pain and difficulty. But if you are ready for it, it will be fine.

I remember feeling the urgency in my body as I listened to his words.

He told us: ‘You need to rebirth’. I had no idea what that meant, and I haven’t heard that phrase used much since in the spiritual development community.

What I understand him to have meant was that we need to strip away everything and find the core essence of ourselves. All the conditioning. All the wounds that are keeping us locked down.

This is the spiritual work, and it has been tough. Really tough. I know you feel the same. None of this has been easy, and it still isn’t easy.

But, from what I am hearing and sensing, it is about to get a lot easier, if we choose to embrace the energies that are coming our way.

I had forgotten what that man said all those years ago. But hearing about 3I/ATLAS, it came flooding back.

And recently, I’ve been asking myself: Perhaps this is it?

Interstellar object

Over these past few weeks, alongside keeping up to date with Interstellar object 3I/ATLAS, I have been noticing a shift in my own ongoing healing and spiritual development. I have held off communicating my thoughts about this, as I wanted to be more certain. Although, of course, none of us can be really certain. This is something completely new coming our way.

I could be completely wrong with what I am sharing here. Normally I would hold off being so bold about communicating my thoughts and feelings about what I going on until I had more ‘evidence’, but there really isn’t time.

If you haven’t heard about 3I/ATLAS and this is completely new to you, I will just explain now.

This is a traveller from another star system, arriving in our solar system for a brief visit. It’s the third known interstellar object – something outside of our solar system - to pass through. It was discovered on 1 July 2025 by the survey telescope network ATLAS, which is where it gets its name from. For a while recently it was hiding behind the sun, and then in the suns glare, so, it wasn't possible to see it. 

Now it is possible to see it again, photos have been taken that tell us a little more. It has the appearance of a comet in some ways, but it isn't a comet. 

What makes 3I/ATLAS stand out is its origin and path: it’s not bound by the Sun’s gravity, meaning it’s simply passing through. It is from an unknown place, on an unknown trajectory through space.

3I/ATLAS has caught the imagination. There is lot of fear. And a lot of hope.

If you want to learn more about 3I/ATLAS, then I can highly recommend the two people I have been following on YouTube, who post regular updates. Stefan Burns brings the geophysicist perspective – the science and Pam Gregory who brings the esoterical perspective. I have found these two people be a good combination of information.

In this blog, I am focusing on the hope, as I don’t feel any fear whatsoever.

I want to focus on what we can do to work with these amplified energies that are coming our way.

I initially heard about 3I/ATLAS through my supervisor Jayne Johnson. I didn’t take too much notice at first, and then began to listen to a couple of podcasts from Stefan Burns and Pam Gregory here and here, which Glennie Kindred shared with me. They are quite dated now being almost a month old, but I think they are still a great introduction.

Then, a conversation struck up at the ancestral healing retreat Jayne and I were holding leading up to Samhain, as a group of us sat around the woodburner in the kitchen.

Quite a few people didn’t know about it, quite a few did. I was in the middling camp of not knowing a great deal. It was fascinating to hear the perspectives from those who were better researched than me. The essence was that 3I/ATLAS is bringing energies that will help humanity. I learnt a lot that night and it sparked my intrigue further.

The following weekend, Jason and I went to visit a very close friend. We were comparing what shifts were going on in our lives in the past six weeks, since the Autumn Equinox. The synchronicities between our experiences were stark, the struggles and then major ah-ha moments. Something felt different to our experiences in the past. We mused that this could be the influence of the energies of 3I/ATLAS.

This is an object that has travelled a long way. The synchronicity and astrological alignment that it’s coming into does have a divine intervention feeling about it.

So, what can we do?

I asked this exact question during the conversation around the woodburner at the Calling the Ancestors retreat, and laughed at the advice I was given: “Journey on it, Nicola!”

My own advice, handed straight back to me. It’s what I always say to anyone seeking guidance about almost anything: ask your spirit guides. And shamanic journeying isa great way to seek answers.

One of my guides in particular has been calling me almost daily this past week. This is very unusual, as normally I might be called every few months, if that. The messages are unfolding piece by piece. Each journey adds another part of the picture, and all of it points toward something significant on the horizon.

This feels different. This feels like it.

Last week, both Jason and I journeyed, separately without sharing with each other what we were told before the other had journeyed. We each heard the same word: prophecy.

As I said at the beginning, we are living in prophetic times.

There are huge, transformational energies moving toward us. It has been made very clear that there are two ways to respond to them: we can recognise them for what they are and go with the flow, or we can fight them.

I see this reflected in the responses to the news about 3I/ATLAS. For some, it brings fear and heightened anxiety. For others, it opens a sense of anticipation, possibility, and hope.

I am firmly in the hope camp. I feel no fear about this.

In a shamanic journey yesterday, I was shown a memory from years ago, when I had first returned to riding. I was part-loaning a horse wjo was half Quarter Horse, meaning he had extra speed in him. We were cantering through an avenue of trees when, without warning, Colonel surged forward. This wasn’t a bolt, which is driven by fear. He simply decided to race the other horse.

I had no control over him at that moment: none whatsoever. But I didn’t fight. I stayed still, looked ahead, let him run.

I saw fear for me in his owners facial expression as we galloped passed. But I only felt exhilaration. We stopped at the fence at the end, and I felt sheer joy.

How different that moment would have been if I’d panicked. If I’d pulled on the reins, braced, or tried to stop him. We’d have reached the fence either way, but I might have been terrified, or even thrown.

This is how I understand these incoming energies. We can fight… or we can surrender and ride.

My recommendation: go with it. Don’t resist. Instead ask, How can these energies help me? How can I work with them?

These energies coming our way are unlike anything seen for thousands of years. They are here to help us heal deep wounds - lifetime wounds, ancestral wounds - and to strip away conditioning so we can become the truest version of ourselves.

And, that’s good, right?

We are in the crucible of change right now. It is said that healing is going to become easier.

Speaking from my own experience, I’m noticing this already. In just the past few weeks, Jason and I have had realisations about our own patterns that have completely turned things on their head. It’s as though a light has been switched on and suddenly things we’ve struggled with for years make complete sense.

There’s an amplification that brings the discomfort to the surface, and then, quite quickly, the solution reveals itself. It can feel rocky and bumpy while it’s happening, and then the ah-ha moment arrives. Something we haven’t been able to see for decades is now so clear, so obvious… and with that clarity comes the knowing that this is the way through.

So, what does surrender look like?

Surrender looks like:

• Stillness
• Time in nature
• Listening to your spirit guides
• Not getting pulled into drama as the outer world intensifies

And yes, this is nothing new. We already know we need stillness. We already know we need time in nature. We already know not to get caught in drama.

But as the drama ramps up, as systems tighten and crumble, everything becomes amplified. It becomes even easier to be pulled off centre.

More than ever, we need to anchor into calm.

I don’t say this lightly. It is hard.

Pam Gregory speaks of these energies continuing through the whole of next year, and she also says they are designed to make healing easier. From February 20th onwards, the message is: make real the dream.

So, as we drop into the long nights and a slow pace of life along with nature, we can prepare by focusing on what that dream actually is.

Ask yourself:

• What is my highest self?
• What am I choosing?
• What is my vision?
• What am I committing to?

These are big questions, and it is time to find our answers to them.

In my own practice, I’m committing to more time sitting still in nature. More shamanic journeys. And, importantly, responding immediately when my spirit guides call me, rather than waiting for “the right moment”, whenever that is. I’m also focusing more intentionally on activities that draw me into my right brain, the wiser, more intuitive side, which was the resolution I set for myself this Samhain, the Celtic New Year.

Within our Mystery School, we’re increasing the frequency of our live gatherings over the winter, and each session will hold space for these very questions. We will journey together, reflect together, and support one another in aligning with these incoming energies. Our winter work will culminate in a special online gathering at Winter Solstice, on the very day 3I/ATLAS passes closest to the Earth, under the new moon. We didn’t choose this evening to hold our gathering intentionally: that alignment happened by ‘accident’.

This moment feels significant: A threshold on the darkest night and when the nights are longest. 

And being in community is so important right now. We need to be in contact with people who think and feel like us. My journey over the past couple of months has highlighted this to me even more than usual.
