Folk have been asking us to run a shamanic drumming circle in Lancashire for quite a while now and at long last we are putting one in place. Finding a venue has been a real problem but thanks to a friend of mine we now have a home in the beautiful headquarters of the Lancashire Wildlife Trust (thank you Anne).
The Barn is a low energy, sustainably built mock Lancashire barn set in the gorgeously rural Cuerden Park just south of Bamber Bridge. There’s plenty of parking, lots of room, tea making facilities and of course ample nature space to work in.
This circle will serve the Preston and Chorley areas and will be held on the 2nd Monday of the month from April 2014 onwards.
However we are having an introductory session on the 18th of March at 7:30pm to celebrate the Spring Equinox and all are welcome to come along regardless of experience.
You don’t even need to have your own drum or rattle to benefit from and enjoy the circle.
Hand drums, frame drums, djembes and the like are all welcome, however we will be working with shamanic beats to raise the energies, facilitate spirit connection, healings and journeying rather than learning musical rhythms.
Drumming will only make up a part of the evening, with spiritual workings and meditative journeyings, accompanied by the beat of the drum, taking up much of the time.
More details will be posted nearer the time and if you want to be kept informed please enter your details in the box to the right. We are going to try a new pricing method so the cost of the night will be £10 or whatever you can afford.
